This position is responsible for the management of valve project order management and customer interface through final shipment. This person manages the execution of contract deliverables to ensure that valves are shipped on time, within budget, and in accordance to contract requirements. The candidate must work with all other disciplines to ensure a successful contract fulfillment.
• Primary responsible in support of awarded projects and quotations. • Act as primary point of contact, responsible to customers for order execution. Manage communication with customers in a timely, professional and clear manner. • Review Customer Specifications for acceptability and ensure the specification is incorporated into the quotation and/or order. • Manage orders through engineering, purchasing, production planning, and manufacturing processes as they relate to order delivery. • Verify component availability and when necessary, preorder valve components to meet the customer delivery. • Track orders through the entire process and provide customer with detailed status documented with spreadsheets, charts, etc. • Lead internal project status reviews. Create and update project plans and progress reports • Implement customer change orders. • Identify potential obstacles, risks and resource constraints. • Prepare recovery and contingency plans to meet budget and schedule targets. • Develop and maintain good rapport with sales engineers and customers. • Prepare inspection and test plans. Host and manage customers, inspectors and expeditors
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering technology, Management or equivalent experience. • Have a good working knowledge of computer word processing, spreadsheets, Outlook, and order entry systems (Oracle experience preferred). • Ability to work independently, take initiative and show a high sense of urgency. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. • Good communication skills are a must, as this person has to be able to convey customer requirements to operations, shipping and engineering.
